Poverty, Social Assistance, Smart Indonesia Program (PIP), Health ShoppingAbstract
Poverty is a multidimensional problem that affects access to income, education, health, and welfare. The research aims to analyse the influence of shopping on social food, the Smart Indonesia Program (PIP), and shopping health on poverty levels in Indonesia during the period 2019–2023. Based on the theory used, which encompasses structural and human capital approaches to poverty, it emphasises the importance of government intervention in increasing welfare for the poor. The method used is a quantitative approach with panel data regression analysis on 34 provinces in Indonesia for five years. The selected regression model based on the Chow and Lagrange Multiplier tests is the Common Effect Model (CEM). The results of the study show that social food and shopping health have a significant and negative impact on poverty, indicating the effectiveness of the second sector in reducing poverty. On the other hand, the Smart Indonesia Program demonstrates a positive and significant influence, suggesting that in the short term, PIP distribution has not had a direct impact on poverty reduction, but may have a more substantial effect in areas with high poverty levels.
